I gotta say, I'm happy they don't teach religion in schools. I was the only
Jewish kid in my school in a small, mostly southern Baptist Arkansas town
(where the entire police force was Klan), and they prayed to Christ everyday
in the schoolroom, had religious assembly (only protestant, never Jewish,
Islam, Buddhist, Catholic, Wicca, Pagan, Hindu, etc.), and tried their best
to convert me. I felt like I was on a constant battle ground from the time I
walked into kindergarten. I'd rather be "politically correct" than
"religiously correct".
