as per the star wars episode 1 references, the name of queen 'amidha' i
believe it was is either the chinese or japanese feminine form of amitabha
or amida buddha, who, if i remember correctly, is the 'buddha of the pure
land.' It's been a while since i saw that flick or her name, so some of my
spelling and memory may be inaccurate, but her name is definitely a direct
reference to one of the buddhas.

Take Star Wars, for example, with the Force, guru Yoda (I love
you Master Yoda!), Jedi, etc. etc. Isn't it funny how even in episode 1,
which was lame in comparison to the original 3 flicks, there are many
references to the truth, even in the names of characters? (Qi-Gong Djinn,
for example.) And the bit about the "Midichlorians" (sp?) that live within
us, and tell us of the Force -- whoa boy! Lucas is definitely illuminated,
that is for sure (even if he can't direct!)
