Recently, someone made the following comment on this list:

I asked an East-European friend about that and here is his comment:
| We just recently talked about this with T**'s ex-husband and we found
| that there are 3 words for love in Polish, 2 words in Ukrainian (or 3 if
| you count "like" in "I like her") and 1 (2 with "like") word in Russian.
| Don't know about Romanian language but it is very close to French. As I
| understand, they can understand a speach in French.

Maybe we ought to actively start coining new words for different types of
love...
