This could be a common phenomenon - being almost forcefully led to the study
of yoga and Eastern philosophy. When the kundalini awoke in me I was also
told by a somewhat stern-sounding inner "voice" to get into all these things.
It seems as if the basic archetypal truth behind life and the universe has
been covered best by the Oriental teachings. Since the supremely intelligent
kundalini shakti is a manifestation of that truth, she compels the person in
which she's awakened to tune the mind into that reality.
Interestingly however, this is probably only a phase, once the mind has been
uncluttered and rewired with the higher truths to a certain extent, the focus
on a particular teaching or philosophy seems to recede in order to make way
for a more universal and culturally independant vision.
Let Ma do all the work
Take care,
Michael
