l'm sorry you felt abandoned during this time, and sorry that my own
inaction helped contribute to it. As a matter of fact, l was about to chime
in, but l was waiting for your response to be posted first (l don't follow
these things as closesly as l used to, but at least l was under the
impression that you hadn't responded to the latest salvo yet :)). And yes,
l've hesitated at times, fearing that my constant support would be devalued
by appearing so conspicuous!

you really are leaving the list, then l'll be tempted to leave too. Being
able to read your posts has been one of the main things that's kept me
hanging around. Your brilliant insights, whacko humor, brutal honesty and
generosity (among other qualities) are treasured and irreplaceable. l hope
you'll consider just lurking for a while before deciding to leave.
