I don't think Jag's trying to get an "ally"...

Does everything *have* to be confrontational with you?

Not everybody acts as childish as it seems you are trying to imply...Jag
said she wished you could put down the mask...I understand what she
meant, I really feel that you have a *big* filter/mask that makes
everything that is even *slightly* construable as criticism,
constructive or otherwise...that you have to come back with a snappy, if
self-deprecating reply to. It is really ... unproductive? (yes, that's
the precise word...it's unproductive. Meaning that it is not getting to
the crux of the matter, it's muddying the waters by going off on a
tangent ...like your "translation" of Jag's comments into a *pick on El* party)

I *really* wish you could understand that...

(and of course you will probably misconstrue this in some way...but
hopefully not)
