This is superstitious thinking. Maybe there's just a guy prowling in the
neighborhood, looking for someone to hurt.

Not getting insurance because you think it attracts "bad vibes" is really
selfish. It hurts your family more than it hurts you, because they will be
the ones to bear the brunt of paying for your medical care, trying to find
medical care that you can afford, taking care of you and losing wages because
you can't afford nursing care, paying for your funeral because you haven't
left money for that, raising kids who are missing the income one of the
parents brought in, etc. I guess I'm not that selfish that I would do that
to my family. If you are, that is too bad for those who love you.
