I would say that "M" is actually pronounced "ng" - the sound you experience
when pressing the tongue upwards to the palate. And "O" is an intermediate
form between "A" and "O". Try to form your mouth as an "O", a circle, and
you are able to pronounce these sound.
So, both "O" and "M" are actually intermediate sounds. They are not
expressible in western alphabets.
This is, however, the pronouncement I was given by my guide.
