So that - in our hearts & souls we are neither gender, or are we both
genders? Is it a known fact that our anima &/or animus is a subconscious
factor of our opposite biological gender which exists in order or us to
complete our physiological gender?

your above statement rings a bell inside - that we tend to project our
needs onto a perceived ideal mate so that the real person is not part of
the equation.
this "deep desire for completion"; does that exist beyond the quest for
lustful & sexual satisfaction? Is it sexual, or is it a mode for
survival - that is - a sharing of real life chores & resources in order
to maintain the "survival of the fittest"?
(so many questions!)

I want to grasp this concept in it's wholeness - what it means to
Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems, & as related to kundalini. But the only
thing I have to compare it to is the "catholic" nuns version. That, in
becoming a nun, one becomes the "bride of Christ" & somehow completed
spiritually in this process.
The reason I want to branch out with this concept to other philosophies
is because I cannot *relate* to this catholic process either! Being
raised in Catholic schools, I have seen too much hypocrisy to embrace
their deep philosophical beliefs as being valid, at least without more
universal support.

Yes, & I thank you for that, percyval. The study of male/female
relations & sexuality are areas that I remain deficient in. I just keep
thinking that being honest & creative & funny should be enough, &
obviously I am wrong. To me, it seems like these issues are built upon
pretense & artifice & superficial values. I wish I could feel otherwise.
