I was always accused to love too many people....... what is the most thrilling thing for me with love relationships - and i wouldn't reduce it to "erotic/intimate" relationships, actually some of my most intense love relationships never touched the level of physical love, two i havn't seen in person at all, only corresponded with -
is that every person seems to touch a different part of me. It feels like this person wakes something up in me that only this person can touch and nobody else. It feels to me like discovering a landscape in yourself with somebody that you know is part of you , but you never experienced with somebody else before.
I know that i'm a totally different person depending on who i am with and that's why i know that one person and one love may it be THE love of your life will never be able to touch ALL of you. There are differences in degree and probably you will stay with the person who is able to touch important parts of you or parts you experience as big topics for you. Nevertheless at least as i feel it my love is free and goes everywhere not only to my partner. But yes, from very practical reasons and because of trust and loyalty i accept certain agreements. I can love many many people, but i can only share my life with one person at a time, because my physical body can only be at one place. I also don't want to hurt my partner's feelings and want to have a basic of feeling safe in my relationship, so i would make sure, my partner can rely on me being true. But that doesn't include love on other levels.
For me it is not possible to lock my love into a box and write a name onto it.
