We'd like to package Love because we become mired in the insane belief
that Love is something we 'get' or 'have' rather than something that we
are.

In the movie "Annie Hall," Woody Allen told the story of his uncle, who
thought he was a chicken. When people said that this was terrible and asked
his relatives why they didn't take him to a doctor to get him cured, and he
said, "We can't. We need the eggs."
Woody Allen compared love to this situation--no matter how terrible things
are in love, how frequently we fail and are disappointed, we persist because
we need it so badly--"we need the eggs."
