expectations of love and the End of the World."

 Nothing turned out the way I planned and the false expectations were
dropped. But what really cured me was the day I woke up, looked into the
mirror and realized I was no prize, no spiritual Flash Gordon, no James Dean
or Dudley Do Right.
 What a relief. Now I don't have to impress anybody.
