After being indirectly hit by lightening you find you have a different
respect for it. Eight years ago lightning hit my two hundred foot pine trees
in my back yard, traveled through the roots to my satellite dish, into my
house, through the wiring, then 300 feet out to the street and blew a
transformer. The damage to my car, which was parked next to the Sat. Dish,
included blowing out the computer and reversed the polarity in the battery.
It zapped the telephone box 35 feet away from the house, and burned out all
the telephone lines and electrical appliances, (TV, Ans. machines, VCRs,
computer equipment, microwave, you name it.) The electromagnetic field that
was created caused the metal crowns in my mouth to shatter the teeth
beneath. I lost $5000 worth of crowns, and my companion lost the electrical
charge in his heart and had to have a defibulator/pace maker installed. I
can still smell it and remember the strange pink light that surrounded me.
I did pick up a few new channels in my brain. So now when I see lightning
I think, "Oh no not again!"
