When I lived in the city, I used to have visions on buses all the time, and I
also read in the spiritual accounts of others (e.g., Susanne Segal) that
they, too, had awakenings on buses. So I guess there is an urban spiritual
practice of bus-riding (maybe the freedom-riders in the South U.S. during the
60's knew this too!). You might take some comfort in Walt Whitman's poems --
he was quite able to see divinity in both the urban and the rural (he never
had the hardest job, though, which is to see divinity in the suburbs!).
