Dear Melissa,
When I find myself unhappy about a situation and drop into a state of
"presentness" I lose both sense of "self" and also the unhappiness. I sense
that if I were to remain in that state, that I would not simply be blissed
out, but would be functioning on a less encumbered level. It seems to work
that way for me. I do think the ego has a place. Not sure exactly what it
is, though.
Love, Hillary
