When I saw that movie, I remember it being billed as the most terrifying
thriller of all time. It was, but so many did not get it. When it ended,
when I saw it in the Angelica in NY, some people were crying (I was but
couldn't figure out why), others just staring at the blank screen when the
lights went down, some clapping and standing. Allot of goose bumps.
But so many laughing and not understanding. I tried to explain the billed
"horror" aspect as I understood it but it was like I was talking to
hypnotized people. That was more scary to me than the movie. Much more
scary. In hindsight now, he choose to become like everyone else to get away
from the horror of knowing what he did. so he knew both horrors, the one of
not knowing and the one of knowing and knowing both, he chose to be in the
one of not knowing. so he took the blue pill after he took the red pill? Is
it better to not know after knowing Dan?
I was there on the night the press was there. I think the writers were there
that night. Maybe you were there. It was a Saturday night. I remember the
line very well with the rabbi's, "its not the numbers, its what is between
the numbers."
