Sometimes we do. Some of them are obsessive thoughts that have taken
on a life of their own. Anything you give enough energy to, wakes up and
become sentient, that's why sailors refer to their ships as "she".
Often, they become attached when we are children. Invisible playmates,
night terrors, deceased parents.. we accept them because we think we need
them, or needed them, at some point in our evolution when we were afraid
and had not faith. Others are passed along, propagating from person to
person like a virus. Some are inherited, in families. Some are leftover
from "past" lives, other incarnations. Some are from other dimensional
realities. Some are deliberately created, by misuse of magic, often long
outliving their creators. Some are a result of spiritual or occult
initiations.
Fear makes you more subsceptible to them, that's why I don't mention
them often.. seldom at all, without also offering the release process. They
are ridiculously easy to clear, but they really can mess things up if left
uncleared. They feed on emotional energy, and provoke emotional reactions
to get more food. They breed and propogate just like every other life form.
Recently I cleared one from someone, we nicknamed it "Hitler's kiss". She
had a pic of her grandfather, when he was a baby, sitting on Hitler's staff
car getting a kiss from Hitler. Politicians often kiss babies, it is a
throwback to the ancient ritual of the King's blessing. The Third Reich was
notorious for their interest in the Occult. It was a nasty thing, that
critter. It gave her panic attacks if she tried to go into a church.
Some time ago, I was doing a lot of work clearing native ghosts, and
some friends complained of negative spirit activity.. when I looked into
it, I discovered that when I'd cleared a bunch of long-dead Shamen, I'd
forgotten to take care of their "pets".. the entities couldn't get in the
house spell, and my guardians protected me from them, so I didn't know
about them. The critters thought they were my slaves.. the spoils of war,
and went off trying to please me in the ways their past masters had asked
of them... doing stuff in my name that I did not approve of... When I
realized what was going on, (after getting flamed by Danijel coz he thought
they were mine and was NOT amused.. ) I opened my heart and transmuted them
all.. they were mostly brainwashed faieries, and I spent a very
pleasureable afternoon giggling them into the light.
That might be part of the effect you mentioned, El.. I had a problem
for a while, before that, with bad things happening to people who pissed me
off, it made me kind of paranoid, afraid to lose my temper because it
seemed my power was going out of control. It worried me, and for a while I
was starting to get a reputation as a black Witch that was wholly
undeserved. I know better than to attract that kind of Karmic feedback.
Turned out, some entities that could not get past my Angels, were trying
to get my attention by doing things they thought I'd appreciate.. Trying to
play "white knight" and serve me by going after people who pissed me off,
no matter what my good intentions of gentleness and forgiveness. Being bent
critters, their judgment was less than ideal..
Kundalites attract entities like moths to a light house, and it is easy
to protect yourself from them, but there are often a few persistent ones
that will try to get your attention in other ways.
Years ago, some nights when my K-fire was high, I'd be aware of
hundreds of spirits gathered around my home.. the house spell kept them
out, but some were more persistent, and went after the people whom I was
close to. Finally I set up a kind of "electric fence" that automatically
transmuted any who got close enough.. later, I turned the process over to
the Angels..
While I'm storytelling.. I moved once, as third roommate, into a
bedroom that was notorious for poltergiest activity.. the guy who lived
there before me had actually been hauled out of bed a few times, by a
critter who smelled like brimstone.. It didn't bother me much, I kicked it
out a few times .. figgered it was attached to the other fella. Eventually
I made contact with it, curious because it kept finding a way to get back
in again. Turned out, it was able to time travel, and it had known I would
live there eventually so it had moved in early to await my arrival... and
pestered the other fella to amuse itself while it waited.
That one was quite a bit smarter than your average entity. Usually they
are stupid critters.. I cleaned it up, and kept it around for a while, it
had some interesting talents.. but eventually it pissed me off with bad
advice, and I kicked it into the light. I still dunno what the heck it was..
I lived in that house for several years, then it was demolished in
1996. Being a tidy Witch, I carefully cleared the space before I left, and
moved the House Spell to my new residence. Recently I had some trouble with
the post office and I went back there to see if the new duplex was getting
any of my mail. There was nobody home, but as soon as I stepped off the
sidewalk I felt an energy shift. My house spell appears to be still up
there, and that should not be possible.. I brought Freda there to get her
impressions, and she noticed it was warmer on the property than on the
sidewalk.
So, El, it could be that you have a "fan club" that cannot get near
you, because your vibe is too high, but likes to absorb the residual energy
from places you have lived, and tries to do you a favor by mesing with
folks who do you wrong.
There are a few entities I find on almost everyone, heart chakra
occupants are very common, I found one fella who had 5 different ones. That
is why as part of the grounding site, the newly opened heart is asked
several specific questions. If it does not love unconditionally,
infinitely, then it is an entity. If it makes negative judgments or offers
a name for itself that is not a metaphor for Divinity, then it's an entity.
Also very common is a greyish cloud form parasite that attaches to the
lower part of the grounding cord, usually about 15-30 feet underground. The
clearing questions toast them all.
To be on the safe side, take a week and do the clearing process every
time you get an ache, or a negative thought or feeling. It cannot hurt, and
if you do have entities you won't have any left when the week is up. Most
people do have some kinds of entities, and it works on blockages, too..
I'll put the clearing process on the new bulletin board, for reference.
Always remember to fill the cleared spaces with light afterwards so
nothing new will take up residence.
