"Yup, it crashed my browser as well. What browser are
"you using? (I'm using Netscape 4.07 for Mac)..."
Thanks for the info. I am using: Netscape®
Communicator 4.5 under Windows 98. My system is
generally unstable but it is the first time one specific
site is targetted.

"Seems to work ok for me. Try accessing "color" part

Thanks for checking for me. I guess that you are not
using a version inferior than 4.7 of Netscape. Thanks
for the link to colorsa.html. I accessed it without any
problem then clicked on the link to home that got me to
Pare_1x.html and my computer crashed again.

"I can access the site with no problems, so they must
"be able to detect that you are just a salacious
"dilettante. ; D Just kidding--this is some kind of
"computer glitch somewhere near your end. Maybe
"you could try a different computer--go to the library or
"something..."
:-) re: salacious dilettante, I had to get the dictionnary
out to check the meaning of both words.... and I found
out that maybe you are not far from the truth! ;-)

"I can access that web-site okay; I think there may be
"something wrong with your browser!"
Thanks for checking. You're right: what's wrong is that i
use Netscape 4.5. It is very unstable. I may update it or
try to use IE for a change.
Kath did some further research:
" The site crashes on my Netscape browser but
"apparently works with Internet Explorer...which I will
"*not* install on my computer because it consistently
"screws *other* things up. This is consistent with the
"reported problem above.
" Which is bad site design, and bad browser
"compatibility, not necessarily a computer glitch on the
"user's end. I wouldn't recommend installing a new
"browser just because one site hasn't designed for
"compatibility across browsers. But that's my opinion.
" Okay. I turned off java in preferences. Now the
"site loads, but is COMPLETELY under construction, with
"lots of placeholders and a note from the author talking
"about how they are "improving" things.
" So I'd say it's definitely a site authoring problem
"and not necessarily the browser. Probably a bug in
"their javascript or something like that.
" Kath (not really a computer nerd, don't even play
"one on television)"
Thanks for the tip. I turned Java off too and I managed
to download the page that looks very messy. At least it
doesn't crash anymore.
I may contact the author of the site if and email is
available. I'll let him know what we've found out.
I said:
" Maybe it is my browser itself, and not the site,
"that is trying to prevent me to access the site. It may
"be psychic and knows that reading about kundalini will
"no more awaken it than scratching a foot with your
"shoes on will ease the itch!
" Seriously: can you guys access the site? Is there
"a bug in the code? faulty java script?? or else the site
"is really shakti charged and is therefore as conscious
"as the awakened Kundalini and really doesn't want me
"to access the site?!?"
Susan commented:
" Well, Augustin, I wouldn't go that far but the
"internet is a potent transferer of shakti and reiki. It is
"not unheard of for people to receive shaktipat thru a
"picture, touch, thought, and breath historically.
" I received a powerful reiki attunement several
"years ago just by reading about the symbols on the
"net. My inner voice told me that words are just
"pictures of energy, and then WHAM!, it was like
"someone reached thru the screen and shook me so
"hard I practically fell off my chair. There was so much
"energy running into me I almost fainted.
" Just my experiences."
I wouldn't mind receiving Shaktipat through the internet
either (any one volunteering to initiate me??). I actually
did a couple of times Angelique's grounding meditation
on her site and I felt very relaxed, my body tingling as
it rarely does but has been doing more often since...
especially when reading channeled materials recently
posted on Spirit Web.
As far as this specific problem is concerned, I think that
with the help of you all, we've been able to narrow it
down to compatibility problem between the site and
earlier versions of Netscape.
I remain open minded and do not dismiss "paranormal"
explanations either.
Maybe some form of consciousness (my own inner
one?) used this compatibility problem in order to draw
my attention to some message...
But that message would be what?
Maybe that I am indeed a salacious dilettante!!
Is that imcompatible with awakening the Kundalini????
Thanks again to all for your help.
Love,
Augustin.
