Curse is a very loaded and old-fashioned word, although it is the word the
shaman who helped me used to describe one of my problems. Let me see if I
can explain it with more clarity:
The word curse conjurs up images of black magicians working with and sending
dark energy in the form of a 'spell'. While I'm sure this does occasionally
happen, it is not really what I meant. If someone repeatedly and with intent
thinks actively about you in an impure, malicious or vindictive way,
eventually a collection of this energy can adhere to you at some level of
your being. This would probably be an area that would correspond
vibrationally to the type of energy being generated by the thoughts, i.e.
hatred would be an attack on the heart chakra, envy perhaps the third eye
etc. Collections of energy can collect in body organs, chakras and any of
the subtle bodies.
While I believe that at some level the one being attacked tacitly agrees to
the attack, I feel there are sometimes mitigating circumstances. When people
are very young children, or the auric sheath is torn due to illness or
drugs, it can be very hard or impossible to ward off an attack, especially
if you do not conciously know where it is coming from, or even that it is
happening at all.
When enough of this energy collects it forms a 'thoughtform' that can
drastically influence health, fortune etc., if not removed. This type of
thoughtform will feed off the energy of the person being attacked thus
becoming more virulent as time passes. This could properly be considered a
curse.
To one who has suffered this type of attack it is a very real and
destructive experience. An attack such as this does not need to be launched
by a person of great 'power'. We all, unfortunately, have this ability, and
anyone who concentrates upon another repeatedly, steadfastly and with malice
can have a detrimental effect upon them.
It sounds like a ridiculous waste of time for someone to do this, but it can
and does occur. We all know people who have borne grudges for years, this is
just an intensification of that kind of activity.
I hope that has explained a little, although being new to the list I am not
sure this is suitable material for it. There are several good books
available regarding psychic attack for those interested.
