You bet it was...and is...
Keep doing your meditations the way you are used to...
And also...if the feeling of bliss subdues over time, *remember the bliss
feeling physically*... Yes that is possible.
('Remember' has the word 'member' like 'body part' in it, see? )
If you are lucky the bliss feeling will not go away, with me it has
recovered its irreversibility... The irreversibility became possible when I
understood what the words equanimity and unconditionality meant in a
physical sense. (Aurobindo covers that a lot in his writings.)
Just know that the appearance of bliss does NOT get brought about BY
conditions such as the fact that you danced at the disco, or may have been
drugged or so... The 'unconcern' that the body goes through in bodily
freedom, unconditionality...free dancing... RECOVERS what is already
there... If it seems to disappear again, it really does not get lost... it
just hides and waits for more unconcerned and unconditioned times. This
sounds ambiguous? The condition of unconditionality is unconditionality...
The way we Westerners understand the word condition is in the context of :
"If....then..." That is not what it meant originally... Condition means,
"What comes with the given." Or to say it differently: "GIVEN that this is
so THEN that comes WITH it..." Notice there the slight nuance that does not
make it 'conditional' as in "IF this is so THEN that will RESULT from it."
The Human Condition has to do with grace where one recovers the Human/Divine
Gift of existence.

Work towards a full integral understanding of this... that is work and
not...gobbledegook
