Dear Jill,
You asked what decreeing is.
Decreeing within the organization that performs it is known as 'The Science
of the Spoken Word.'
It is similar to the practice of mantras, only with a different format. It
is based on the understanding that sound is the basic principle behind
creation. The decrees are created in the form of poems, prayers and fiats,
and are basically divided into colour groups to target specific energies,
i.e., purple and violet flame decrees - transmutation on all levels, pink -
love, green - science and healing, white - purity, yellow - wisdom and
enlightenment, etc. etc.
People beginning decrees usually repeat them quite slowly, but as you become
adept at giving them incredible speed is built up, to the point where it
sound to others like a rythmic but senseless noise. Indeed, someone catching
you at it who didn't understand what you were doing might justfiably
consider having you carted off and committed.
They are usually given in groups of threes, nines, twelves, thirtysixes and
upwards.
They are given for world peace, elemental life, healing and many other
reasons.
I personally found nothing wrong with the science and motive behind
decreeing, and I know people who claimed to have greatly benefited from it,
but as I said, I was very sick and it exhausted me. They certainly didn't
tell you about mitigating circumstances such as ill health, but merely about
opposition. They didn't have a clue how to help people who were having
trouble with this, other than advice to step up the decrees.
A lot of work and everyone in your family who finds out thinks youv'e gone
insane. But I bet that happens to people who have problems with kundalini,
too, doesn't it?
