hiya lovely lou,

i use a white noise machine from Marpac for sleeping and meditation, because
new york city is so rediculously noisy... here's there url:

the model i have simulates both rain and ocean waves, with controls to fine
tune the sounds to whatever works best for you... i highly recommend them...
i've been using one for about 10 years...
