Hi Hillary,
Questions:

How many of us have feared we were going mad. What symptoms caused
this fear?

I felt I was going mad when I was thirteen. Horrible family/abuse
conditions, etc. K awakening has been a blessing in bringing to mind a
different reality. Official k awakening (shaktipat) when i was 34 (I
am now 42)but who knows, maybe K was a life time thing. My mom didnt
take my assertion of wanting to see a psychiatrist seriously.

How many of us have been diagnosed with some form of mental illness?
What form? My maternal side has a history of hospitalized chronic
mental illness with electroshock treatments, mostly of the hysteria,
depression type. My mother once told me( when I was 12) because mental
illness ran in the family it didnt mean I had to repeat the pattern.
My maternal side had severe alcoholism probs several generations back.

I had a genius uncle (paternal side),a nuclear physicist, commit
suicide over his role in building atomic weapons.

How many of us have been hospitalized for mental illness? For how
long?
I was seriously considering having myself committed for outpatient
treatment for that oh, so 80's malady, codependency, and depression
but I was shaktizapped instead! (and I also became quite involved with
Forum/Est type trainings which deconstructed my personality and
rebuilt it.) St. John's Wort does have a positive affect on me and I
didnt really know that I was depressed until I started taking it.

I can honestly say the 'madness' of k has been far preferable than any
madness I had before. It has given me a peculiar discernment into the
craziness of awakening. Every day is a new day to be discovered, like
a baby.
