I've had that! Don't know if it was K, and it looked 'real' (I kept
seeing it in my kitchen, and I kept thinking something must be
burning, too, but it never was). I stopped seeing it after a week or
two, so it's *probably* nothing to worry about. I did notice it
seemed to be dependent on light levels, I didn't see it in brightly lit
places.

ps I've had something even wierder recently: I keep seeing a
pattern of tiny dots overlaid on things, as if they're an image on a monitor,
except it happens when I'm not focussing precisely. It goes away
when I focus. Anyone else had that?
