Agreed. Been there, done that. Denying somebody who is
seriously depressed and in severe emotional pain
access to anti-depressants is little short of cruelty
as far as I'm concerned. I resisted taking
anti-depressants until almost too late because I
didn't want to mess with my mind, did not believe they
worked etc. However, without treatment with
anti-depressants I know I would no longer be alive and
I basically don't care who knows it.
I am no longer taking anti-depressants but within
three days of starting on Zoloft the completely
unlivable emotional agony I was experiencing left. In
the end, it took more than anti-depressants to cure
what ailed me -- but they kept me alive until I found
the k-list and Angelique took me the rest of the way
through. I still was capable of suffering
substantially even on Zoloft and capable of feeling
quite suicidal. But I did not stay down in that place
for as long as I used to. So please, if you get very
depressed, get help.
