You are missing the point of addiction. It is not a strongly reinforced
desire that becomes the addiction. It is the result of an act, reinforced or
time, that becomes the addiction. I enjoy the way eating ice cream makes me
feel. I eat it every night. Oops, I have an addiction. I am not addicted to
eating the ice cream, I am addicted to the way eating ice cream makes me
feel. I don't actually enjoy smoking. I do enjoy the rush and buzz that can
come with it.
