I have been studying Osho's Book of Secrets lately (as it happens), which
is specifically tantric (as he defines it), and in it he states quite
categorically that it is NOT the indulgement (sic) of the passions, NOR the
avoidance of the passions, but the recognition of the desire nature in both
those states, that constitutes tantra. Indulgence and avoidance both entail
attachment, which is counterproductive to liberation... He encourages ppl
to not fear nor obsess about their desires, but witness them in action and
LEARN.
And there weren't even any dirty pictures in it either... <sigh> Guess I'm
going to hell now, without any supper... :)
What you resist persists, as someone not a million miles away said... :)
