Yes. Good that you understood that it was not about physical death.
In some ways, the doorway of death is the door into unity with the
Divine. Like how NDE's (near death experience) end up in the Light. It is
about the death of separation, the veil of forgetfullness tearing to reveal
the Unity of All that Is.

I'm smiling. About a year ago, for the fun of it, I set up a tent at a
psychic fair to do Kundalini awakenings by donation. Later, I went around
and had a chat with some of the other psychics. One mentioned that the
psychics in her corner were chatting, wondering if someone was doing
photography in the corner where my tent was, because they kept seeing a
bright flash of light, out of the corner of their eye. :) No, I said..
there are no cameras.. :) :) :)
The light you saw, is THE LIGHT. Yes, it can be scary. Angels say "Fear
not" because people pee their pants when they show up, they think they are
about to die.
The flash of light, was your awakening. Things got worse, after, because
you began the process of clearing your Karma.

Yes. It is important to know, that it is OK to shield yourself, you
don't have to take on all the pain in the world.

Yes.. the body-mind loves music and nature.
Your being has three parts.. The Trinity.
1) your ego-consciousness, which is your conscious mind, the thoughts and
impressions that come into your awareness.. who you think you are..
2) the unconscious, which is connected to the autonomous nervous
system.. the body-mind, and it is the opposite gender of the body..
3) your Spirit, or soul. Higher self.
Spirit and the body mind are connected, it is the ego-consciousness that
gives you the experience of being a separate individual. Your ego
consciousness has been experiencing "death", but that has noting to do with
physical death. Much of your ego is made up of your fears and limiting
beliefs. The emotional baggage that we call "Karma". As your Karma comes
up into your awareness to be forgiven and transmuted by love, these
fearful bits of yourself "die", and go into the light, and your Spirit
comes down into the body.. you become "spirit having a human experience",
instead of being a human seeking a spiritual experience. Ego and soul are
trading places, one bit of Karma, at a time.

The doorway of ego-death is scary, in exact proportion to how much
uncleared karma is left, within you. This is actually, a protective
mechanism, like a fence around a playground. It keeps you from passing thru
the veil too soon, and being overwhelmed by all of your Karma coming up, at
once.
You can actually think of "death", as a persona.. the cloaked hooded
skeleton with the scythe. It is the Shadow of Jungian archetypes, the
"Portal Guardian" of Shamanism, or the "Devil" in Christian iconography.
"Fallen angel", who descended, to do the work of reflecting your fears back
to you so you may transcend them. It is an aspect of yourself: you are All
that Is..
It is NOT "Dark", of itself: on the higher levels of consciousness, it
is a being of blinding light, unpolarized radiant unconditional love.
However, it *appears* dark, so long as you are in duality, because it
reflects your own fears back to you, so that you may see them, love them,
transmute them, and ascend.
It is an aspect of the "Divine Beloved". A part of yourself, Mr. Death
comes courting, because he seeks to Unify with you in the Sacred Marriage.
Whenever I write about this topic, I always feel a need to emphasize
that this is a spiritual conception, it's *not* about physical death of the
body. I don't want anyone to misunderstand the concept, and commit physical
suicide in an attempt to ascend. Like those idiot "Heaven's Gate" cultists
with the purple scarves and the poison pudding. They were not clear on the
concept!!
Learn to get grounded, so that you can observe your fear without being

Spend two weeks focusing on grounding, and surrendering your fears to
Divine Love to take care of.
To surrender, just say "God-dess, please take this fear, it is a gift,
for you. Thankyou very much", whenever you observe a fear or limiting
belief... and then distract yourself by focusing on your breathing so your
attention to the fear is not an attachment to it.
Write again on the new moon, and I will send you a ritual of Sacred
Marriage. You have already spent 5 years of courtship with Mr. Death, so I
feel that you are nearly ready to unify and ascend, by surrendering to
unity with the Light.
