I tried to copy and paste answers to your letter, but please bear with me if
I do it this way. Hotmail threw me off my first attempt.
1. You said why do I think knowledge of the Absolute and purification of
your being are mutually inconsistent.
I don't think they are mutually inconsistent, I think knowledge of the
Absolute is a great help in the purification of your being.
You see everyone the same as yourself, you drop the judgements.
You tend to turn within more.
I know I was judging the Spiritualists, what I meant was they tend to think
everything good comes from Spirit, forgetting that they and everbody else in
the body are also Spirit. And because they don't feel connected to each
other, in their innermost being the same as each other, despite all the
sweet words of brotherly love, the petty jealousies and backbiting remain.
What is the great advantage of knowledge of the Absolute? I am you, you are
me, isn't it? If I'd had your life and you'd had mine, I would be you you
would be me. And that we are all eternal, untouched and deathless. Ally
that awareness to great psychic power and great spiritual teachings and
you're knocking on the door of Heaven. (Or if you aren't then it's all too
hard for me I'll give up now)
2. I don't really understand your 2nd point.
3. For "Astral" read "Spirit" realms. Your thinking and/or writing is not
as sloppy as mine.
4. What is it, that makes a higher being higher? What is it, that makes one
being have a wider span of consciousness than the other one? The personal
development. One person has a wider consciousness than the other one,
because he has evolved more, grown higher. If you get to see such a person,
it's a great gift of mercy, not an obstacle. If someone, 2K years ago, saw
Jesus and talked to him, would that disqualify him as a spiritual seeker in
your experience, because he talked to a quite evolved being in the physical
matter?
No I never said that. Nor did I mean that. I know it's a great blessing to
meet an enlightened master.
Knowing Self is practically meaningless except as the knowledge of the
roots of all, it doesn't make you any better person than you were before,
and I know this to be a fact from my personal experience. And the highly
evolved beings can't be seen as some sort of an obstacle, because they are
in fact the only thing that can show a person his or her actual position on
the path. It is far easier to have the nirvikalpa samadhi experience, than
it is to understand the consciousness of Jesus or st. Theresa of Avilla or
Vivekananda. Far easier.
Yes I know this also. You see someone who's vast like the ocean you know
how little you are.

To me, it seems that _you_ think that of yourself. You have had the
experience of Self and now you think that you've seen everything there is
to be seen, and that everything else is merely a sort of a pitfall.
No I don't I know it's only the beginning, but I still think it's hard to
get to the end of the road without it. Why because without the experience
of it, if it's just a concept in the mind, it doesn't stay very long and if
you don't have that experience you have to be a very loving and
compassionate person not to be caught up in all the rubbish sometimes.
