you hate someone you loved hurt you badly because
you placed on to that person your own need for
fulfillment for the emptiness you perceived
within yourself.
When the "loved out of need" person leaves your life
you are left to face the "emptiness" you most desperately
sought to avoid by looking outside of Self.
The "judgement" of yourself is then once again projected
outside of yourself onto the person you expected would
fill your "emptiness"
The "hate" is an external manifestation of your (denied)
hatred of self. In order to face this, we have to face
our own "mortality" and our own "emptiness" ...
We are taught to fear this more than anything else ... and
history reminds us through "religion" that to fill this
"emptiness" or "ignorance" with "Knowing of Self" is
an heretical belief.
Ultimately, our hated of our lost lover is a manifestation
of the "dark night of the soul"
