If love was all that is, that would make the word "love" meaningless
(which it is, if I am to start splitting hairs) because there is nothing
to contrast it against to justify the definition of the word (yes, a
cliche, but still valid). I think making a positive statement like "All is
one" or "love is one" can be counter-enlightening, because it gives hungry
human intellect something to cling to.

It doesn't really make a difference, does it? When it comes to the
activity of human brain, finding opposites to emotions is futile and
subject to change. Can we really take the "opposite" of a state of such a
system in a way we take the opposite of an integer? If we took the
complement (reverse the activity state of neurons from firing to passive &
vice verse), the opposite of love might be craving for the sausage that
Lord Vishnu is holding over the head of Donald Duck, and his wives called
Huey, Dewey and Sai Baba (or to put it otherwise, the brain is in an
"undefined" state).
