Chadnugget: one day my teacher was gone and was replced with a crappier
one

Peter: maybe the teach died or moved or is real sick
Chadnugget: i hope not , she was much better than the new one -- and i
don't know anyone in that class to ask....
Chadnugget: it is a mystery to me
Peter: yeah that is weird -- hope the better teach comes back -- you
could probably ask the teacher -- just m,ake sure its like your expressin
concern (or else the new teach might think you dont like her -- whch even if
true is better off not expressed
Chadnugget: haha yeah - well i never paid much attention anyway-
auditoriums don't work for me ... i learned from the book
Peter: haha yeah i know what you mean
Peter: doin alot of readin on egypt over the last day ro so
Peter: hey -- is that the bio class with that hot chick in it?>
Chadnugget: anything interesting
Peter: oh yeah -- i was at the met the other day and i found a fragment
of a face in the egyptian wing
which although it just a nose and mouth -- they draw a striking resemblance
to my nose and mouth
Peter: so i found the post card of it at the gift shop and it turns out
that its Akhenaten
Chadnugget: perhaps you descend from that ancient civilization
Peter: now im doin some reading and its fascinating
Peter: nah -- im thinkin more like i was akhenaten or perhaps more
melancholiclly his son tutankhamen
Peter: haha
Chadnugget: what is ak.
Peter: i d rather have been akhenaten -- and i dont want to dwell on
"past life" kinda bullshit too much b/c i fear it'll gimme a headache
Peter: whadda ya mean "whats a.k."
Peter: oh akhenaten was a pharoah
Chadnugget: pete the pharoah, i can see it
Peter: hahaha -- i dunno
Peter: see its weird akhenaten launched a religous campaign
revolutionizing the egypitan empire and destroying the old gods -- actually
he revealed a single "god" who was everything and embodied himself as
Akhenaten -- however it seems that the texts im reading interpret this to
mean that he declared hiself the universal god and thats it -- however after
reading his specific texts it seems that he (akhenaten) is really saying that
each individual is the manifestation of this Universe
Peter: its actually quite alot like what i believe today and practice
today
Chadnugget: that is cool, i can dig it -- that guy changed his mind a

Peter: see like he used this thing called a sun disc whch people would
recite and chant to in order to bring forth this "universe" which he called
aten
Chadnugget: what would the disc do
Peter: today i beleive i practice the correct practice by chanting Nam
Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo to the Gohonzon (the mandala embodying the buddha life) to
well forth my own buddha life
Peter: actually -- in essence it sounds very similar
Chadnugget: i think my mom says that
Peter: oh i suppose the sun disc would serve the same/similar purpose
of what i believe the gohonzon is
Chadnugget: the chant, she's been doing it for a while -- i think
Peter: like i kinda think as a mirror to see your own buddha nature
Peter: for real?1!? -- Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo causes the buddha nature
to well forth -!!!! you can change your destiny and develop and super joyous
life condition infinite as the universe b/c you are the universe !!! *THATS
WONDERFUL --- your mother is chanting -- this is really really great!!!!!

Peter: no joke !!! -- i know i sound kooky and this all sounds kooky --
but thats really really great
Chadnugget: i believe it, why would more than one person do it if it
wasn't worth it?
Peter: do you know that until you cause the buddha nature to well forth
and change your destiny and find great joy in your heart --- that means that
since eternity you havent done this b4 and now when you do its the first time
"like a cave that has been lit after a billion yrs."

(turns out ive been poisoned and had my life attempted on several times) i
moved from a ratty roachy apt to a suburbian house --- i used to be real ill

or not you should encourage your mother -- (and i would even suggest you
begin to chant yourself b/c each moment contains eternity and everytime yo

tend to keep in a cabinet looking box thing

not sure if you are as zealous about this than distilled water, though!
Chadnugget: i tihnk it's that
Chadnugget: i've heard her mention that before, she is into all that
stuff
Peter: hmmm -- she probably does -- but this is the important thing --
you have to make it the one thing (then it contains everything else and you
could use all the other stuff or not (like for example im not going to NOt
drink distilled water just b/c i chant -- rather i found the beneficial
properties b/c i chant ) -- see if you mix this Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo with
other things with these other things as having equal or more importance then
its like mixing shit in a delicious meal -- tainted and of no use

Peter: if however -- Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo is what you base your life
on then all of the other things can be of great value -- its a matter of
seeing relative importance
see Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo is you yourself -- the totality of existence with you
and the central focus (you are myo ho ren ge kyo the entity of the universe
in totality)
Peter: chanting Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo (nam coming from sanskrit namas
meaning appreciation/joy/praise -- cause the buddha life of you to well forth
-- at the same time negative karma will arise for you to challenge and change
and manifest benefit

Peter: ie; if i was never sick i wouldnt have investigated health so
much to be able to make the dynamic flip to superheath that im making now
Peter: oh since b4 i was born -- liek for real my mom was chanting
super amts of daimoku (daimoku = collective term for chanting Nam Myo Ho Ren
Ge Kyo) when she was pregant -- since b4 that i dunno if i chanted or not
Peter: however [people who encounter true buddhism in their present
lives formed some kind of connection the past

Peter: see Nichiren Daishonin the true buddha of kuon ganjo (time
without beginning -- which is the present moment and actually trancends our
idea of space and time) he established the true practice for mappo ( mappo is
the third millenia after Shakyamuni buddha(siddhartha)'s passing -- see in
this thrid millenia after shakyamuni the provisional buddha the good fortune
accumalated by us common mortals gets exhausted and everything starts to
downgrade
Peter: but see Nichiren daishonin born 1222 in Japan -- revealed as
only the votary of the Lotus Sutra (Lotus sutra is where the real meat of
siddharthas enlightenment is ) could do
see the votary of the lotus sutra is the true buddha (and the true buddha is
a common mortal -- in fact all common mortals are buddhas

Peter: by chanting Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo we can well forth this buddha
life to challenge our negative karma eradicating it and replacing it or
transforming it to benefit
Peter: hmmm -- votary is kinda like devotee but its also like the
embodiment at the same time
Chadnugget: ok got it
Peter: oh see the gohonzon is kinda like this (and everything more) it
basically says Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo Nichiren down the middle
and like how Peter -- contains everything about me inherent in the
words and characters that form that name
the writing of Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo contains everything that is Myo Ho Ren
Ge Kyo which is the universe which is you! -- so by chanting to it your life
recognizes it so that your buddha nature can be awawkened
peter: hmmm -- i hope im not distorting anything
Chadnugget: no it's definitely cool, just taking me a bit to take it
all in
peter: b/c you probably wouldnt know the difference anyways -- so i can
tell you this -- im doing my best to give you the most direct straight
answers i can
Peter: see -- thats also been a problem alot of people and "priests"
tried to capitalize (and many do this still) try to capitalize on something
which is unrestricted and inherent in each person
Peter: so alot of people for the last 700 yrs till present distort the
truth to greedily benefit by being superior in some kind of hierarchy
Peter: the historical priesthood of nichiren shoshu in japan did this
in the last so many yrs
Chadnugget: i see ... i that changing now or no
Peter: and there are some in the Soka Gakkai today who function
similarly
Peter: however it is changing b/c
Peter: i believe in Daisaku Ikeda, and Josei Toda and Tsunesaburo
Makiguchi
Peter: they built the soka gakkai (value creation society)
Peter: and this organization spread/ spreads true buddhism for all to
be able to practice
Peter: and actually quite mystically i saw Daisaku Ikeda on tv today
for a split second ( ive never seen him on tv b4 (like only tapes of speeches
released by this organization ) anyways he was on PaxTv today of all stations
and i caught the end of it
Peter: somthing about awakening humanity wisdom and joy in each heart
on a person to person basis and that this is the only path in the 21 st
century and the time to spread the 'seeds" and enable others to bring forth
their buddha nature is absolutely necessary
Chadnugget: so he is making some ground
Chadnugget: getting one tv and such
Peter: well actually being on tv is a small feat for him ( millions of
people chant today in Peter countries around the world -- when he started to
"convert" i guess thats the word -- it was in the thousands b/c of Josei Toda
-- like Ikeda converted hundreds of thousands of people in the early days of
the soka gakkai after ww2 in a short amt of time -- a few months --
Peter: and Daisaku Ikeda has for my recollection -- been speaking with
and meeting with important scholars and leaders for the last 40 yrs

Peter: he's beein writing to the un for the last decade
Peter: sure we gotta meet up some day
Peter: the fact that your mom chants is a great fortune for you and her
