>Brahman (Aurobindo again):
>"He is able to conceive Himself from multiple centres in multiple forms from
>which and upon which flow multiple currents of energy seen by us as action
>or play of forces. Maya is self-conception"
Thank you very much for that great quote,
Wim. :))
I found it very beautiful.
It is at first glimpse very difficult to
understand what Aurobindu meant.
This quote has many layers in it, for me. :)
As of now, I take the multiple centers to
be the single things.
"from which and upon which flow energy"
I think maybe here is where the conceptual
problem lies.
How can something both be and not be,
both be a proprietor of truth and a receiver
of such ?
This is a difficult thing to understand. :)
(At least for me)
I guess this question is the heart of
mysticism, both eastern and western.
If that sounds completely idiotic, please
don't burn me on the stake for it. ;)
And the word "self conception".
To me, this means making oneself known to
oneself, making oneself a concept to be
perceived.
Is this not the process of creation by
emanation, flow of energy, that so many
Indian and other traditions speak of ? :)
The word "self conception", I like it a lot.
>I split Brahma into its original sounds of Brah and Maa
>Ma being the sound of the primeval Mother
>In Dutch we say "Moo"
>So here we have Brah as an expression of Ma or vice versa
>Which is the sound of one bull mooing.
LOLOL !
What is the sound of one bull mooing when
there is nobody around to hear ?
LOL !
Best regards,
Amanda.
