The title 'The seduction of madness' implys to me that there is 'Madness'
and that it is 'seductive' in some way. What I encounter, and work with
almost every day, is relieving people from the stigmatizing label of being
'mad' at all. Even so, I´m also working with people I concider ravingly mad
myself. This is a very subtle and difficult topic.What is 'madness'? What
is 'normal'? I assume much of what people on this list have experienced
wouldn´t be concidered 'normal' at all by someone without any knowledge on
this subject. And it ISN`T normal, the way I see it. It is sub-normal,
trans-normal. That is what 'transcendence' is all about. Transcending the
'normal'. Look at what the world looks like! It´s the result of 'normalcy'.
To me this kind of normalcy looks even more like madness than the maddest
madman in the middle of a psychotic break.
