Yes, I agree with you both.

I suspect it is simple if you can put down your
likes and dislikes and accept the universe as
it is.

Which is however, not simple. :)

withdraw the senses and the myriad of
wants
watch the energy that are emotions
and thoughts move inside the mind

And see that the mind is empty and still not so
filled by eternity
having no owner but reality
