Pardon me Sasse but that is an intellectual stance. Is
it not a greater violation of Ahimsa or non-violence
to standby and permit violence? Then that is
complicity and one becomes the same as the
perpetrator, or worse for there is no excuse at all.

In Sai Baba's case he is molesting children, sitting
on one's intellectual arse and saying, 'I'm
indifferent to evil' is a lot of bollocks. Patanjali
is talking about attachment and detachment, or
nishkarma karma, not complicity and inaction. In this
case inaction is tantamount to action.

It is interesting that some see me as full of rancour
re Sai Baba. They say this from a comfortable
intellectual position, where their intelligence can
judge the world but take no personal action. Mentally
projecting themselves into the world so to speak. The
same types fiddled while Rome burned and wrung their
hands while Hitler burned people. It is real while one
is in it, hit the wall and see. One has to deal with
it not duck it. Words are cheap.
