While classical texts, at least those known, rarely deal with homoerotic
experience, what may I ask do they refer to in their male/female polarity?
If we are tantrikas could these polarities not be embodied in same sex
partners? No less a Tantric adept than HH Dalai Lama has stated that
traditional texts may need to be reevaluated in light of modern knowledge.
That a guru may have had homoerotic experiences with underage disciples is
not deplorable because of the homosexual aspect of the acts. It would be
equally deplorable were the subjects 14 year old girls. It is the abuse of
power that is at issue. Even when the guru and disciple are of consenting
age the perceived power difference makes such acts questionable. Those of
pure motivation who enter into the "guru game" are well aware of these
pitfalls. Many enter it precisely for them!
Many, many, yogis suffer a deep "dark night of the soul." Personally, I
believe this to be the yogic "comeuppance." There is little way to prepare
for such power before its experience. Often one's "demons" are first to
claim such new status. Compare this to K cleansing. What if such a yogi
allowed those demons to feed?
