I'm getting pretty good aparantly at noticing people, even those I meet casually, that have that 'certain look' about them, hard to describe, but others here may know what i mean, they look sort of 'shell shocked', and you can sense a desperation, to want to talk to somebody about something, but they fear trying, many have already tried and got told they were nuts, there's a furtiveness about them, a fear, that someone might know thy have something secret going on...I'm learnign ways to carefully 'lead into' the topic, and when they realize I know, and they can talk to me, I've had several now just break down and cry, just at the sheer releif that someone else knows what is happening to them, and has expereinced some of it, too. i've now found that !
after a bit of leading, when I feel pretty sure that's what is invoved, the best thing to do is just gently ask them, 'Are you dealing with things that you just can't talk to other people about without them thinking you are going crazy? That other people just plain wouldn't beleive?' If they 'perk' at that, their eyes widen and I can see the, 'dare I hope this person knows about this stuff?' look on their face, I add, again gently, with a knowing look, 'As in, things that aren't supposed to 'be'? Spiritual, supernatural things?'
