A friend who was born in Indonesia from Taoist lineage ,
for his Doctorate in Religious Studies at Leyden in Holland,
did, for his Doctorial Thesis a comparative transliteraltion
of Biblical Passanges comaring them with the Gita ...
  using as his source, the ancient texts
  in their supposed original language.

He found that both said exactly the same thing ...

and that variances in translations by scholars comes from
learned and genetic imprinting of beliefs ...
  preconceptions as to what the words should be translated as.

He further suggests, as a linguist,
that behind both Hindu and Aramaic
  lies Sanskrit .. a far more ancient "language"
  from which both books were 'translated'
  as a metaphor for the time and the peoples ...
