Second, on just these few incidents, I'd not assume it is a ghost, a
'spirit' that had not found the light, that needs help in that
direction. It could be, or it could also be a spirit that HAS made the
transition, just dropping by for a visit for some reason.
If the phenomenon related to this continues, or the spirit's behavior
seems malicious, or otherwise disturbed, you might consider the matter
further. Does the spirit seem disturbed or disoriented?
You can try asking it why it is there, who they are, and why it has come
into our home, and life. Then watch for signs and synchonicites that
migt help you determine these things. If it DOES communcate such things
in response to your request, it is likely a spirit that has made the
transition, rather than a ghost, one that hasn't, is 'stuck' here. While
ghosts seem to be more readily SEE by us, they usually have far less
'ability' to manipulate your environment than a spirit that has
completed their transition.
I'd also ask it to either show me some purpose in it's presence, if it
has one, and if not, ask it to please leave, for it is making you
uncomfortable. But you must ask these things aloud to it, not just think
them. I've known several people disturbed by repeated appearances or
other manifestations of the presence of a deceased person, until the
just addressed it aloud, explaining their discomfort with this matter,
and that was the end of it.
Were it not for the appearance of the appartion, the other 'physical'
things, the knocking the moved attic door, etc, sound like they could
possibly be 'poltergeist' in nature, related to mental energies of a
LIVING person in this situation (unaware they are doing it, usually).
I.e., psychi-kenetic in nature.
If it is just a brief visit, and is not causing people to feel
threatened or uncomfortable, I'd not be too concerned about it. If it
doesn't seem to have a 'reason' for being there that you can tell, just
explain to it that it's presence makes you uncomfortable, and politely
ask it to leave.
I must add here that many peope are so fascinated by such an occurence,
so 'hungry' for evidience of real spiritual activit, that they might
ignore even strong feelings of discomfort it brings, and try to
'encourage' it. See it as a delightful novelty, perhas eager to tel
others about it, get them into the house to see it for themselves. It s
never a good idea to do this. It can be, depending on what is realy
going on with this spirit, eiter heartlessly cruel to it, or outright
dangerous for yourself, as such encouraging of it can strengthen it's
presence considerabler, making it even more difficult for it to make
it's transition if it hasn't already done so, and in any case, make it
more difficult for you to try to get it to go away after if you tire of
it, it becomes an annoyance, or it's behavior begins to change, become
more demanding and invasive, offensive, in your life. Malicious or
mischieviuos spirits will often do that, seem very benign, even
pleasant, gain your trust and actual desre for their presence to
continue, until they ave gained enough strength from you to be solidly
entrenched, more difficult for you to deal with, just as living people
of such nature often do to their 'victims'.
I have learned that the best 'rule' for me to adhere to in such as this
is to not 'accept' the entrance of spirits into my life and
consciousness that do not immediately and willingly explain to me why
they are there, and that have so entered without my request or consent.
I have come to be able to 'recognize' the presence of my own Spirit
guides, and trust them to 'gaurd and guide' me in connection to other
spiritual entities or beings. At the first awareness of some 'other'
presence, I imediately ask my primary gyuide for assistace, to tell me
clearly whether that other entity is one I should accept communication
with or not, and to what extent. If I do not get an affirming responce,
or if I am feeling any kind of negative things from that entities
presece, I immdeiately turn it over to my guide, asking him to deal with
it for me. So far, this has worked well for me. What I'm saying here is
that basicly, I think we should excerise the same kind of caution and
wariness concerning spiritual entities attempting to gain access into
our homes and lives as we would with people in this physical realm. You
woud no readily accept, welcome, strange people just entering your home
and affecting you personal life as they please, I'd not accept it from
spirits, either.
