I have and have had IDENTICAL visions to Hildegard's
I eventually got to read her books and commentaries and hear and see some of
her choral drama and chants.
(Luckily ?) I did not see the PBS show.
I very early on came to separate all the negative stuff in her writings from
her visions, acknowledging only her visions and descriptions as authentic.
Large parts of her commentaries I am sure were not hers... and even if they
were... (Any lurking language analyst out there who wants to take this on as
a thesis to attain a doctorate?) Anyway, I never could take the commentaries
seriously as the explanations did not jive with my impressions. I am NOT
into explaining visions or even dreams and I advise clients not to get into
that. (Describe, describe, describe only...!!! See some previous post of
mine some time ago) In fact, even Hildegard's visions were not depicted by
herself, one can easily observe the different artistic styles of the
illuminations. In fact what we have now are only copies as the originals
were lost.
So love your Hildegard, leave the debunking scene. There are hardly any
visionaries in the halls of learning.
BTW. I am also fond of (St.)Bernard. The bastard (?) actually started a few
crusades? How can I reconcile that? Written or spoken history does not
reflect reality, it reflects the vagaries and the illusive ways of
powermongers. Check your newspapers... reality is not in your paper, your
magazine and book of history. NEWS (and pretty well all publications) IS
ABOUT THE PAST. The past is not a model for the future, that's why it is
past, over, gone, oblivion. Reality is this here... you (who reads), I (who
types). Who are you? Who am I? Stupid questions... You and me are evidently
here now... that is all THAT IS ALL
Problem with the world? Read about Don Juan through the eyes of Carlos
Castaneda. Now there is a contentious issue as well? Anyway Don Juan was
always on about one's description of the world.
Is there not a line of evidence showing? Christ gets always crucified, do
not put yourself in the camp of the crucifiers. We don't know how
'visionarity' work, I don't know to much about my visions self either... and
i see a few things...
Anyway they are calling me for coffee, any contentious issue about coffee
anybody?
