Perhaps then SB is (intentionally or otherwise) teaching his pupils
independence, the way the Trickster archetype (e.g., Hermes/Mercury)
does: help them some, but sometimes lead them up the garden path then
abandon them to find their own way home, hopefully forcing them to think
for themselves and re-own their projections.
