Dear List,
Just wanted to jump back into the fray.
This is a Kundalini list, not a God list. To cite one's metaphysical
experiences is one thing, but to insist that they are the only reality, is
annoying and upsetting to those whose reality differs. (Or, as is
frequently the case, to those whose
severe--usually Christian--religious upbringing still causes trauma.)
As a very stubborn :) agnostic who has experienced powerful and indescribably
blissful states and "understandings" with Buddhist, Christian, and Hindu
overtones (and perhaps others I do not recognize), I feel that the energy can
be "translated" in
whatever way the brain chooses. While many K experiences are beyond ordinary
knowing, (therefore the easy translation into God experiences of various
kinds), that doesn't mean, for me, that the translation I initially make, is
a correct interpretation the phenomena. Instinctively I feel that all is
Love. There is nothing separate--no "outer" deity. But for me it is
profoundly presumptuous to insist one's beliefs are the only correct ones.
So, while we talk K energy being intelligent, and we know there are phenomena
that can't be explained, I still basically believe that K is hardwired into
the human brain. The why is beyond present understanding.
Love, Hillary
