This is rift is actually quite necessary. We all (uh, almost) need a more
"relaxed" personality to survive in the world out there with "normal"
people & other critters. I suppose that all of us would use a slightly
different tone in our posts if we knew our casual acquaintances were
reading this list too... but it's kinda nice to have a place to be
verbally honest, especially in a place filled with people similar to
oneself. I guess it is easier for those of us who don't speak English as
our native language to "make the transition". I have noticed that when I'm
"talk":king (a unix chat program) with someone in English (for fun), I
notice that I tend to drift to a more spiritual mindset and have to make a
little effort to "stay down".

It's also natural to feel regret for some things one has written... the
issues we handle here are quite un-verbal, and it's hard to get everything
quite the way we would have wanted to say it (this is one thing to think
about before critisizing other people's views, BTW). It seems that
spirituality seems to create some kind of aversion to putting things in
verbal form. Prior to K writing used to be very easy for me, nowadays
everything I write seems to have some degree of wrong-ness about it (I
immediately make up numerous counter-arguments to my own arguments). I
would be content if I just wrote "braarahuuh", but that would not make
much sense to anyone else (and would look immensely stupid to me also, on
the following day).

The messages we send live in the moment, and the ego is more prominent
when we are reviewing our posts. As for your posts, specifically, I don't
see any more pomposity than in an average k-list posts (though I may be
the wrong person to say this, since I tend to have views similar to yours
in many issues).
