Subject: [K-list] Mail-flooding -> Technical tip (procmail)
From: Ville Vainio
On 1999/11/16 08:47, Ville Vainio posted thus to the K-list:
Those of you concerned with getting too much k-mail should check out the
program called "procmail", if you happen to be lucky enough to be on a
Unix system... it can filter all the k-list mails to a seperate folder,
and thus won't clutter your "incoming mail"-folder. I use this system, and
never have technical problems with too much mail... the interesting
posts/available time - ratio is a totally different kind of "problem".
The other potential problem (too much data) could be solved if people
snipped more aggressively.
