I use dieties much in the same way. Also, have found 'common words' for
other aspects of spiritual energies useful, as well, to 'identify' what
various energies, thought forms, etc, 'seem' to me, 'feel' like to me.
For example, I have come to use such from the bible as 'seducing
spirits', (I use seducing not in the sexual sense, but in that which
seduces us to do such things as compromise our principles, make
exceptions we normaly wouldn't, etc) for how certain kinds of energy,
thought forms, affect us, etc. And the 'christ Spirit' identifies for me
the unifying spirit of life among us.
