Perhaps the most frequent 'reason' for difficulty in our being able to
'speak truth as we see it' lies in conflict within one's own view of
that truth. Our consciousness may or may not be 'aware' of that conflict
to some degree, but our inner being, our subconscious, KNOWS it's there.
I think we ALL have such internal conflict in how we 'see truth', to
some extent, and it's a major issue that k works on to clear. Such
conflicts exist when we hold some conflicting, incompatable 'beleifs'
within our beleif system. Teh mental ego finds all sorts of clever and
resourcful ways to try to keep us from resolving them bringing them up
side by side to compare, confront the inconsistencies, the
incompatabilities. I have found that to be a major facotr in my own
transformational process, I beleive it was a major factor in triggering
my 'transformational crisis' event. I am a very 'open' person as to
being able to express myself and my ideas, yet I had the most
discomforting occasions arise when I suddenly found myself totalt,
competlely, unable to even SPEAK, during some of this work. I woul;d try
to say something (related to the issues being processed) and my throat
would literally constrict, or the words would just vanish from my mind.
I had reached the point that I would not longer 'accept' letting myself
speak something I knew at a deeper level was not as true as my outer
consciousness had thought it was.
It goes something like this: We on the one hand would want to declare
'this truth', yet within us, is something that conflicts with, 'yes,
BUT...' Those, if THIS is true, then THAT cannot also be true, BUT, I
know THAI is true. BUT, I LIKE THIS truth, WANT THIS truth, BUT....I
also cannot deny THAT truth, with affects THIS truth.....etc.
