Sai Ram Brothers and Sisters,

Awareness is related to sensitivity, which in turn is
the daughter of compassion. Intelligence is not
awareness for it is of the mind, manomaya kosa. True
awareness is the vijnanamaya kosa or awareness sheath.

In practice you can see this in the personality of the
hunter and the adult meat-eater. They break the
connection between the suffering of the animal and
their own ego satisfaction. Ego desire is so powerful
an illusion for it is turned outward.

How does this happen? Swami says that there is no
mind other than a bundle of thoughts. It is the ego
that is the string of those desires and thoughts.
Built on the tendencies and impressions of infinite
lifetimes.

It is a programme that we play, it is the only one we
have, so it overwhelms us. Transformation is the way
out and that requires destroying the existing
programmes and building another more compassionate
one. One whose connecting thread is Ahimsa or
non-violence, Daya, compassion and not ego-desire.

However we have to live through the destruction of the
present/old programme and it's future, whilst the new
future programme starts to manifest. This is called
'Pain'. However hold in there when the new programme
plays it will be beautiful.

However it will be a gossamer thread and one pull will
undo the whole thread of mind. So ending the
division, always illusory, between Human and the
divine.
