:)) Soo cool !!

There have been three instances of synchronicity with
ppl on this list this week alone.
I like it.

Could you tell us who is the author of the Pale Fox and
what kind of study it is ?

Voudoun and its rituals
has been a childhood fear of mine and
right now, K clears up old fears.

When I was 9 I read a horror book about Voudoun
and got very scared. :)
But I also remember the amazing sand "manadalas"
don't know what they're called in Haitian French
that were presented in that book.
They were a fascination that has come up today.
(I Don't even remember what it's called now.
Childhood fears. LOL !)

Two days ago I read a very informative paper on
Voudoun, rituals and modern ways of communication.
I don't know much about Voudoun, to be honest,
only the superficial stuff, but
the article mentioned that crossroads and shapes
and incantations linked to or meant to symbolize cross
roads are charged with danger, possibility and
power, in short, crossroads are places of magic in
the language of Voudoun.

The symbolism of crossroads got me thinking last night. :)
In Hindu traditions, the empty form, such as the
empty vase, or the expanse of empty air in front
of your face and the computer screen is something
to be focused on as a meditative technique.

A crossroads, either a physical one or a conceptual
one is an area of such "emptiness" as well,
a "no-place" charged with possibility.

The Taoists view emptiness and what can be filled up
as akin to the Tao. :)

In Voudoun, IIRC, there is a god and guardian of crossroads. Is he called Papa Legba or is his name
Samedi ? (I don't remember).

Anyway, the fact that there is supposed to be a god
for the possibility of the void, i.e. crossroads,
reminds me of the Hindu concept of Shiva as the
still center of the universe. :)

Just some thoughts. :)

Best regards,

Amanda.
