Has anyone read anything about voudoun (also called
voodoo) ?

I picked up an anthropology article yesterday and
the consciousness work that seems to be going on in
Voudoun is very interesting.

One science fiction writer also compared the
comunication of the gods of voudoun with the
communication that goes on the net,
a construction of a mass mind.

I'm sure voudoun is aware of what we know as
kundalini and has a nicely fierce goddess
ascribed to the phenomenon.

Traditional
voudoun also has mandala-like visual invocations
that are made from colored sand and destroyed when
their use is over.

I'm not talking purely about the doll with pins
and the zombies here which most ppl connect
with voudoun,
although,
isn't there mentioned in traditional tantra
somewhat similar rites b/n voudoun and
tantra such as:
purification by fire
use of effigies
the use of ecstacy as means of communication with the
gods

The list may go on... I'm going to ponder on this
a little and maybe write a longer thought train
b/n the similarites of voudoun and tantra
at a later point. :)
